Dr. Karen Pitakdumrongkit, who finished her PhD under the guidance of Prof. Benjamin Cohen in January, has just been appointed a "research fellow" at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS), Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Her appointment, which includes teaching responsibilities, will begin on December 3rd.

The S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS) evolved from a political thinktank called "The Institute of Defence and Strategic Studies" (IDSS) at Nanyang Technological University. In 2007, IDSS changed its name to "RSIS." IDSS is now under the School as one of its research centers and still continues its security research. The School is responsible for teaching grad students.
