Smith and Woolley to Cover Key Election Issues

The UCSB Affiliates will host a special presentation on Thursday, June 7, to discuss key topics in the 2012 presidential election.  The presentation will feature Professors Eric Smith and John Woolley of the Political Science Department.  Smith's presentation, "Race, Religion, and American Voters," will explore the public's response to the presidential race and both the real and perceived religious affiliations of both candidates.  Woolley's presentation, "Still the Economy, Stupid," will address how current economic conditons will likely impact the election and how economic policy is becoming a key issue of debate on its own.

The event will be held at the University Club, 1332 Santa Barbara Street.  Admission to the event is $10, and preregistration is recommended.  Call the UCSB Office of Public Events at 893-2877 to preregister.
