Ahuja Receives Fellowship for Study in India

Assistant Professor of Political Science Amit Ahuja has received a senior research fellowship from the American Institute of Indian Studies for the academic year 2012-2013. It will support fieldwork for up to nine months in India for a project on how ethnic diversity is managed within India’s military. He is one of four long-term senior fellows chosen this year.

The American Institute of Indian Studies (http://www.indianstudies.org) is dedicated to the advancement of knowledge about India and the promotion of intellectual engagement with India in American colleges and universities. More than 6,000 scholars and creative artists have received AIIS support, with their work spanning the humanities, social sciences, social policy and natural sciences.
