Please plan to join a group of UCSB ethnic/gender studies scholars in an open and critical dialogue regarding current US politics and the 2024 election campaign. Eclectically titled “Childless Cat Ladies, Trans Kids, DEI Hires, and Not White Wives: Ethnic & Feminist Studies on the 2024 Election,” this panel will explore how race/gender/sexuality discourse has been mobilized in this election cycle and how our fields frame/push back/unpack these hot-button issues on identity politics.
