The Identity Group in Political Scienc is hosting the first series of the Identity Workshop. Workshops aim to provide a venue in which graduate students and faculty interested in Identity issues from across campus can share their research.  The workshops are available to present drafts of articles, books, dissertation chapters and prospectuses, conference papers, job talks as well as ideas about future research.

The Casier Scholarship Spring 2019

Award Recipient: Tamari Dzotsenidze, Gilbert Nazari, Ixchel Vera Botello

This scholarship is made possible by Santa Barbara native and UCSB alumnus Robert “Bob” Casier. Bob was a renowned teacher and scholar, acknowledged nationally for his contributions. He and his wife, Shirle, left funds to UCSB to support scholarships in Political Science.

The Cosic Scholarship Spring 2019

Award Recipient: Talal Arslan, Gina Rue, Miguel Valdivia

This scholarship was established at the University of California at Santa Barbara in honor of a couple who immigrated to the U.S. from the former Yugoslavia. The scholarship recognizes the sacrifices and honors the important contributions made by immigrants in America each day, and the critical role of education in paving a pathway to a brighter future.
