Recent Graduate Student Publications

Current graduate students Lisa Argyle, Skylar Covich, and E.G. Garay and former graduate students Marcus Arajj, Julian Gottlieb, and Heather Hodges recently co-authored a paper with Professor Eric Smith on "Economic performance and presidential trait evaluations: A longitudinal analysis" in Electoral Studies. They demonstrate that "evaluations of the incumbent president at election time are directly related to changes in economic performance earlier in the year."

Current graduate students Matthew Jenkins, Shyam Sriram, and Jaedong Choi published an article on "A comparative analysis of collective action frames in Nosamo and the Tea Party" in the inaugural issue of the Asian Journal of Comparative Politics.

Shyam Sriram's research on refugee suicide was cited in an article in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
