Larry Adams Scholarship in Public Policy Awarded for Fall 2017

Eduardo Paez and Natalia Arguello-Inglis (pictured below) received the Fall 2017 Larry Adams Scholarship. Mr. Paez interned in the Santa Barbara County Office of the Public Defender; while Ms. Arguello-Inglis completed her internship in the office of Califonia Assemblymember Monique Limón. Congratulations to them both! The Scholarship, named in honor of former UCSB professor Larry Adams, recognizes the importance of local internships and the benefit that such experiences can have for UCSB students. Applicants must be a political science major working as an unpaid intern in a local government agency 10-12 hours per week.  The scholarship is awarded at the end of each fall, winter, and spring quarters. The deadline for submitting an application for Winter 2018 is fast approaching. Undergraduates must submit their application for the scholarship by February 20, 2018.
